Craft time (Messy time!)

I recently found this cute little paint caddy from a Choice store.
Its Perfect to hold all those little bits Mr A like to glue down.

As you can see it does get messy with a Two year old so I always make sure the table is covered.
In today's pick and mix I poped some coloured match sticks, over sized buttons, wool, coloured rice, stars, eyes & a tiny bit of glitter.  Of course the glitter was his favorite and it went everywhere. Now our Cat looks like he just got home from Mardi gras!

Perfect for little hands.
I suggest you could also use a muffin tin.

I really hate the mess that craft time creates but love the loom of enjoyment on Mr A's face more.
When then hang his work of art on a master piece holder which I made out of a old play plen side.
I will share that in a later post.
Happy Crafting!

A New Teapot.

A new teapot!
You may need to remind yourself of my blog name before you question why I'm sharing!
Last week was my birthday and I was lucky enough to get a T2 gift voucher. I used it on this black to black set.
Perfect for my favorite blend- T2 Pumping Pomegranate.
T2 have the most amazing online customer service. I can not speak more highly of their customer service - as I don't live close to a store I use the online store a lot. Now as I went to get the link to share I noticed that they have brand new teacups online!I know I'll be window shopping for the next hour.

Early Easter Ideas.

Gosh its hard too believe that Easter is just around the corner.
I worked in a bakery for 12 years and honestly Easter is not a fun time to be a bakery worker with all those Easter hot cross buns! Since leaving that work a couple of years ago I can now appreciate the Easter season and even love seeing Hot Cross Buns invading our shops.
My Husband and I both celebrate our birthdays in April  - most years one of our Birthdays falls on Easter Weekend - this is year Mr M's Birthday falls on Easter Sunday. So I'm arranging both things at the moment.  I found a few cute ideas on Pinterest that I thought you would like.
The first one would make a wonderful sugar free gift!
 Carrot play dough!
I have included the link to the original blog poster as she has a free printable to go with it.

And Easter bunny tails!

Pop marshmallows or fairy floss in a bag with a Easter Bunny Tail Tag and you have one very cute easy gift!

I have a free Easter bunny tail printables In green, yellow, purple, blue, ivory & pink - that I can email you if you leave a comment with you'r email address below or you can email me using my contact buttons.

When I get around to assembling mine I will share, I plan to stick these printable on a larger sized card stock in matching colours and using clear bags from Pack it in - they have a bag in every shape and size! check then out here.

Enjoy Easter Crafting!

Rice Play.

When the weather turns cooler, or Mr A has a cold I turn our water table into a coloured rice table.
Coloured rice is SO easy to make.
What you need:
Cheap rice - I prefer Long grain.
Snap lock bags.
Food colouring.
Hand sanitiser.

I half fill a few bags depending on how many colours I want.
Then squirt a couple squirts  of hand sanitiser into the bag followed by a drops of food colouring - enough to get your desired colour - As you can tell I like our Bright - I have tried natural  food colouring but found I didn't like the colour result.
Close bag & massage rice until its all mixed repeat with other colours.

I find that the rice dries quite quickly - I just pop it on the table in the sun for an hour or so.

Mr M. loves to be the one that mixes the colours up. Mr A. loves to play dump trucks moving the rice around. As much as I encourage him to use the small trucks on the play table the rice always seems to end up in the good old John Deere & moved around the yard.
This is great sensory play for young & old.
Enjoy.

Memory Jar 2014.

Hi there!

At the start of this year I decided to record some of our fun family moments and not open them until New Years Eve 2014.

We generally don't do anything exciting to celebrate the New Year so I thought this year it might be nice to sit down and read our memorial moments as a family while saying goodbye to one year and hello to another.

My friend gave me this cute jar for Christmas and its perfect.

For the notes I use Project Life Journal cards - they are the perfect size and too cute not too use.

Mr M. doesn't know I'm doing this and I know he will get a kick out of the                                                             small moments I've recorded from Mr A's first train ride -
to a fantastic dinner we had.

Are you keeping any type journal this year or have you in the past?
I would love to hear your ideas.
